Where to Start
|
|
|
Whether it's a status symbol, a retreat, sanctuary
or a social hub the more your home reflects you and
your lifestyle, the more relaxing, enjoyable and
easy it will be to live in. We believe that good
design is timeless design and this means your house will
be as fashionable now as it will be in 10 years.
|
|
|
What do you want your house to be? Don't start
by thinking plaster, weatherboard or bricks. They
come together later. Think what do you want from
your house? Is it to be an entertainer's delight or
a family retreat?
|
|
How do you want to feel when you walk
into your house? Relaxed? Safe? Invigorated,
Stimulated? Do you like big lofty open spaces or
cosy nooks where you can retreat from the chaos of
the day?
|
|
Find pictures of both what you like
and what you don't like. It all helps us develop a
picture of exactly what you are expecting in your
new home.
|
|
Find a designer that you can relate to
and get along with. Don't go with the most
advertised cheapest person around who lives closest
to you. Building can be a stressful time and whoever
you chose you will be spending a lot of time with so
find someone you can relate to and feel comfortable
around.
|
|
Council requires plans showing that
your project complies with all town planning
regulations & all aspects of the 2004 Building Act.
This includes site plan, foundation plan, floor
framing plan, roof framing plan, elevations, cross
sections, bracing plan and weather tightness details
specific to your site and your house.
|
|
That's not all, they also require bracing
calculations, specifications specific to your job
and they may even require engineers calculations and
geotech investigations. Feeling overwhelmed? We can
take care of it all for you.

At White Architectural we will work with you and for you to make the journey to
your new home as exciting and as smooth as possible. |
